Description
This space is a beautiful boutique-style hard loft on the 3rd floor of a New York-style brownstone walkup.
With exposed brick, beams and skylights, the natural light is outstanding. Most people note the feeling of being in a treehouse with all of the skylights and large windows open to the trees, branches and leaves which give a real sense of the elevation. The 10+ foot ceilings also help to give a sense of spaciousness.
The main room (about 650 sq ft) is separated from the back room (approx 300 sq ft) where practitioners, coaches and entrepreneurs can use for private meetings or consultations during events. The main room also houses a chaise lounge which can be moved if needed; a 36" TV (on a storage unit that has rollers) to which one can cast presentations using Google Chrome.
There is a 4' collapsible table and four folding chairs as well. There are two 1970s style wicker-back armchairs seated in the front bay windows with a small round table for readings, waiting or intimate conversations. The only two items which cannot be moved is the small wooden front desk with lattice work and large wooden drawers by the front bay window.
The back room houses a small kitchen that has a stove, microwave and fridge available for use. The oven does not work, however, there is a hot platter that can be used to keep food hot/warm. In the backroom there are two glass tables that seat up to 8 people each, two dining chairs, a printer with wireless WiFi capability,
The washroom also has a skylight and there is access to the 1940s style fire escape should one need to take a breather to witness the small town feeling amidst the city buildings and skyscrapers off of Cottage Lane.
Event Ideas:
This event space welcomes artisans, musicians, practitioners, entrepreneurs and external vendors, all of which have hosted individual client sessions, team meetings, photo shoots, group and birthday lunch/dinners, workshops, video premieres, classes, intimate parties and much more.
Parking:
There is street parking as well as two Green P parking lots in less 5 minutes walking distance. One is located across from Wellesley station, just south of Irwin to the east, and the other off of Isabella, which is just north of Irwin to the east.
