"OUR LOVE LETTER TO ROME"Bread and Circus is inspired by the welcoming, friendly Trattorias of Rome where the menus are dictated by custom and comfort, the atmosphere is fun and friendly and the room is bright and warm. Our dishes are all inspired by takes on these longstanding recipes from Romes expansive empire with a few tweaks for our modern day take. The name Bread and Circus comes from a Satirical poets writings in the second century: Two things only the people anxiously desire bread and circuses. He was referring to the fact that the government was controlling votes and its population with food and entertainment. Almost two thousand years later and we are still using this phrase. We loved that its a nod to Roman culture and very propos for modern times. We have also interpreted it to mean something else for Bread and Circus Trattoria Dinner and a Show.Join us in our intimate 34 seat dining room, especially at the Chefs Bar and well show you what we mean. Please be respectful when you are using the space. Each private booking is subject to singing a contract. The price listed is for the space when we are not open during the day. If you do want to rent the room for the evening as well then there is a different price that will need to be discussed.
