Our nondenominational chapel built in 1864 features amazing stained glass windows, trussed ceilings and carved pews.. St. John's Episcopal Church was built in 1864 on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Ellsworth Street. By 1870, the parish had outgrown the structure and moved on to a new, larger building, leaving the old structure behind.The chapel is available for rentals year-round and makes a beautiful home for small congregation services. Countless weddings and renewal of vows ceremonies have taken advantage of the intimate setting and come complete with an experienced wedding attendant for both your rehearsal and ceremony. The Heritage Hall, located in the Chapel lower level, is beautifully furnished with a main meeting room, catering prep kitchen, Bride's room and exterior entrances. The large room lends itself easily to rehearsal dinners, showers, meetings and private parties.
