Welcome to Casa Malbec!
The forest is a backdrop ideal for relaxing & being one with nature. Enjoy walking through the trails, catch some rays by the pool, BBQ under the sun or stars, watch a movie on the HD projection screen, relax in the sauna, read a book by the tranquil fish pond/waterfall or sip a glass of wine and relax by the fire pit. With numerous activities to enjoy year round, this is a perfect getaway.
With over 3,000 sq feet, this beautiful sanctuary is truly one-of-a-kind! Enjoy the serenity of nature during the day and the beautifully star-lit sky at night.
Casa Malbec sleeps a maximum of 11 people. The home has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Four bedrooms (2 King Masters and 2 Queen Bedrooms) are located on the main level, while the bunk beds (1 Double and 1 Twin) are located in the lower level. The home is equipped with multiple TVs with Shaw Large Package, Wi-Fi (25 Mbps/1Mbps - streaming is not supported/no videos/downloaded Netflix only), a large HD projection screen with over 175 movies to choose from, an air hockey table, a number of board games, sauna, elliptical, and spa-like bathtubs. Outdoors you will be able to barbecue, take a dip in the pool, have a fire, snowshoe, take a walk in Lola’s Forest and much much more.
Casa Malbec has a fully equipped kitchen with all the gadgets you could ever need. Guests are welcome to the coffee and tea found in Casa Malbec. Toiletries are provided including towels, linens, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There is a blow dryer and hair straightener for use during your stay. It is recommended you bring additional pool towels.
Casa Malbec is beautifully decorated with artwork by one of its owners, Adelia Gonzalez. The unique pieces are a reflection of the recovery process following a stroke Adelia suffered in 2007. At the age of 45, the massive stroke left her with paralysis on her dominant hand and aphasia (impairment in language). After the stroke, Adelia chose to embraced the frustration of communication deficits and rechanneled it into her work in a new way, revitalizing her art which is currently displayed throughout Casa Malbec.
Why Casa Malbec? Well, we are from Argentina and Malbec is an Argentinian staple. It is full-bodied red wine that grows mostly in Argentina. It is known for its plump, dark fruit flavors and smoky finish. To better appreciate Casa Malbec, you will be welcomed with a bottle of our namesake, Malbec, to enjoy during your stay.

Due to its rural location, there is little to NO cellphone reception. Emergency calls can still be placed from cell phones. There is a landline that can be used for local calls only. Calls placed to non-local numbers will be charged to guest.
GUESTS MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OLD VERIFIABLE BY GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID
A copy/photo of government IDs will be requested upon booking, along with confirmation you have read all the house rules. I will have a printed copy of the house rules and will ask for acknowledgement of these rules via signature at check in. For security and insurance purposes, the booking guest must be present at check in.
Due to our insurance carrier, no unregistered guests are allowed on property. Be prepared to provide a full list of all guests staying at the home. This should not exceed the 11 guest maximum.
Casa Malbec has separate bins inside and outside for trash collection (garbage, recycling, and organics). We ask that you please take out the garbage if you are staying during trash day (Friday morning/to be put out Thursday night).
The pool will be closed in the Fall and will reopen in early Spring. Please confirm the pool will be open during your stay.
