Come truly unplug, escape everyday stress & enjoy nature at relaxing & private EKKS Cottage in Haliburton Highlands East!!!!
EKKS Cottage is situated on beautiful Glamor lake Road on a private, wooded 2 acre lot & is a 2 minute drive or 15 minute walk to wonderful Glamor & Little Glamor Lakes. There you will find a quaint sandy beach, dock, 2 boat launches & a picnic area. Portable washrooms are also located there. You can have the BEST of BOTH worlds....such a close drive to the lakes but not right on the lake for peace & quiet & peace of mind!!!!
Cottage comes fully equipped with all the kitchen essentials (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster & all pots/pans, dishes, cutlery).
The cottage contains a 3 piece washroom with a shower.
It is a 2 bedroom cottage. The main bedroom consists of a queen size bed with a walkout balcony to enjoy the view with a morning coffee or tea. The 2nd bedroom consists of 2 single beds. The living rooms consists of a queen pull out sectional sofa.
There is a selection of movies to enjoy on the 32 inch flat screen TV/DVD player in the living room as well as a selection of books & board games. Internet access is available if you have data. We purposely do not have WIFI. However, cell phone reception is excellent!!
There is a small 2nd TV/DVD player & X-box in the 2nd bedroom for less desirable weather or quiet days.
The cottage is heated by a cozy propane fireplace as well as heated water lines for 4 season use.
There is a large back deck that houses a large 8 X 12 screen room to enjoy the extended bug free space. There is a propane BBQ for use on the back deck.
There is a large stone fire pit surrounded by Muskoka chairs & forest to enjoy.
Firewood & BBQ propane are also included in the rental fee.
Depending on the season....there is use of 2 kayaks, a canoe & a stand up paddle board (weight limit 200 lbs). ALTHOUGH YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN LIFE JACKETS. In the winter months, there is use of toboggans as well as snow shoes (2 adult pairs as well as 2 children's pairs).
There is a convenient store that has all the amenities, a gas station & an LCBO all located in Gooderham, approximately 10 minutes away by car. Haliburton is a 25 minute drive away & Kinmount is a 30 minute drive.
There are plenty of activities to do in the Haliburton Highlands & area for every season. Some of the activities include the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve (which houses the Wolf Center & organizes dog sledding), the Sculpture Forest, the famous Highlands Cinema in Kinmount, Sir Sam's Ski & Bike, Hawke Lake Log Chute, Furnace Falls, fishing, hiking, sleigh & wagon rides, snowmobiling, skating, tobogganing, snow shoeing, ATVing & much more!!!!
Clean mattress covers will be provided but you must bring your own pillows, bed linens, including blankets, dish cloths/towels, beach/bath towels & paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels & Kleenex.
Come & enjoy a relaxing getaway in Haliburton Highlands East & be as busy as you want or simply just enjoy nature & the peaceful & quiet cottage!!!!

100% refund if renter cancels more than 1 day before the start of the booking.
No refund if renter cancels less than 1 day before the start of the booking.
Rules
We require rental forms to be signed for every booking.
Absolutely NO smoking inside the cottage. There is a an outside back deck area that can be used for smoking (as long as cigarette butts are disposed of responsibly in the cigarette bucket).
Pet stay fees are $50. Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of 2 dogs. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or to go upstairs. All pet waste must be picked up after.
We sleep a MAXIMUM of 6 guests.
We also require a $250 damage deposit. This is returned back to you within 5 days of your Check Out date, provided that there is no damage.
All garbage & recycling is to be removed upon Check Out.
