Description
Nestled in the pines on the Muskoka River is this cozy one-bedroom cottage, ideal for a couple’s retreat. Kick-a-root cottage offers the best of all worlds: it is relaxing, tranquil, and private, but you’re only a 10-minute drive from the Town of Bracebridge with unique shops, restaurants, groceries, and breweries, not to mention numerous tourist attractions. Kick-A-Root is complete with a new dock, watercraft and lifejackets (kayak, canoe with large boat launching facilities close by), bicycles, a firepit, a gas BBQ, two decks, (the back one ideal for yoga -we even have the mat, the front one to watch the sunset), two electric fireplaces, a new 40" flat-screen TV and movies. A pull-out couch is available if you want to bring a friend, or another couple with you. Spring 2020 we will even have a hot tub!
Kick-a-root is conveniently located on Muskoka River (there is a dead end dirt road that separates the front of the cottage from the waterfront), has recently been completely updated with new furnishings to reflect the true north, is clean and ready to enjoy.

Rules
Guests are responsible for bringing their own linens for beds (sheets and pillow cases) and their own bath and beach towels.
Guests are required to tidy up after themselves please. Cleaning products are provided.
If you'd like to bring a dog please message us before booking and tell us a bit about them.
Please note there is a dead-end road between the cottage and the river. You must cross this road to access the dock.
-Pets are to be leashed when outside, please pick up after them, no pets on furniture or bed
- Nothing but toilet paper down the toilet, we are on a septic
-No shoes on inside the cottage
-No smoking/vaping/marijuana inside the cottage
-all butts to be put in receptacle/not the lawn
-no parking on septic bed
-quiet hours at 11pm
-do not leave the doors open, we do our best to minimize bugs inside, but this is Muskoka
-all fires are to be extinguished when finished
-please do not remove blankets or pillows to take outdoors
-water out of the tap is from the river. It is filtered with a 2-stage, UV system but it still may be discoloured
-no unauthorized guests overnight without host being notified
